In the sand

4 photographs, inkjet print on kapa mount (70 x 100 cm), HD video 2'28'' (loop)

The author holds her head in the sand steadily. Not paying attention to the guests on the famous Montenegrin beach, the artist puts herself in the position of a person who does not see the world around her, knowingly ignores it, and refuses to think about the unpleasant situation she lives in. Departure from everyday life, control and the eyes of others, aims to cultivate the human need to escape from the unnatural organization of things, banality, and dehumanization. By exploring the contact points between the performance and the photography, in the context of this absurd act in a given reality, the author is warning of what we have forcibly removed from our own memory and in front of which we shut our eyes.
