The series of the landscapes questions the paradoxical coexistence of the banality and high aestheticization. By simulating urinating in the snow, painting is transposed in the medium of photography. The question is can we read it as a manifesto of contemporary painting or anti-painting as well. Questioning the relation to reality and performative character of the photography it brings out a lot of questions about the need to create. Combining something so ordinary and insignificantly with the elements of “insolence”, in relation expectations from contemporary photography, creates a whole new image of spiritual absurdity.
